Sheltair announces the sale of two New York FBOs to Modern Aviation

The agreement, which was first announced in the fall of 2021, has now received all government approvals, allowing Modern Aviation to formally take over from February 8.

Lisa Holland said: We are very proud of the dedicated work of the Sheltair team in New York and the corporate legacy we leave at these iconic airports. We have full confidence in Modern Aviation, their team of professionals and their ability to meet the needs of this demanding market. As we look forward to a smooth and coordinated transition in the coming days, it is important to pay tribute to the airport administrations of New York and New Jersey. They are consummate aviation professionals and we deeply appreciate their efforts and leadership.”

She noted that the decision to withdraw from the New York market would give Sheltair greater flexibility in implementing their current national growth strategy in other parts of the country, including Florida, Georgia and Colorado.
