Pilatus PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop aircraft developed by the Swiss company Pilatus Aircraft. From the very beginning, the aircraft was planned for long-distance flights at high speed.

This model is a unique attempt to equip a large and spacious airframe with just one, but very powerful turboprop engine. The message of the developers is clear: one shot to defeat two of its famous competitors (Cessna Caravan and King Air). If you do not pay attention to the questionable, from the point of view of safety, design (main competitors are equipped with two engines, and can safely fly one of them), the problem was successfully solved. The Pilatus flies faster than the Cessna Caravan and has a longer range than the King Air.
