The Cessna 525 Citation CJ1+ was developed by the American manufacturer Cessna Aircraft Company as a successor to the successful CitationJet.

The CJ1 retains the CitationJet's basic design while incorporating several changes. Its Collins Pro Line 21 avionics include two 8×10-inch adaptive flight displays, an HSI liquid-crystal display and a copilot ADI display, together with an AlliedSignal CNI-5000 radio and Collins RTA-800 equipment. The CJ1+ is a modernised version of the CJ1.

The CJ1+ is equipped with slightly improved Williams FJ44-1AP engines. The maximum take-off weight has increased by about 45 kg compared to the original CJ1. The aircraft can rise to an altitude of 12,497 meters in 27 minutes, the cruising speed of the flight has also grown slightly to about 740 km per hour. In addition, the new electronic engine mode control system (FADEC) has improved fuel efficiency and reduced the load on the pilot during the difficult stages of flight (takeoff/landing).

The spacious and well-lit interior of the CJ1+ is trimmed with more expensive and high-quality materials. The floor of the passenger cabin has a recess for convenient passage and accommodation of passengers.

Overall, the Citation CJ1+ has a typical layout for light business jets. The cabin has only the essentials for a short flight, a small toilet room and wardrobe are located in the rear of the cabin, the luggage compartment is located in the tail of the aircraft and is not accessible from the cabin during the flight.
