The Global 6000 (formerly intended as the Global Express XRS) is the flagship model of Bombardier’s long-haul lineup. The maximum distance of its flight is 11.3 thousand km, cruising speed is 907 km / h at an altitude of more than 15 km. The Global 6000 (formerly known as the Global XRS) is an improved version of the original Global 5000. Alongside its increased dimensions, changes were made to the main aircraft systems and flight-navigation equipment. In early 2005, Bombardier conducted the first flights of the Global Express XRS. Series production began in 2006. An additional fuel tank at the wing-fuselage junction increased the range to 11,390 kilometers.
