Falcon 50EX is a super-medium business jet from the French manufacturer Dassault Aviation. The jet three-engine machine is able to reach a speed of 889 km / h and fly a distance of 5.8 thousand kilometers without refueling. Experts note outstanding flight characteristics and a high level of safety. The aircraft can land in hard-to-reach airfields, operate on short “takeoffs”, take off even in high altitude conditions. The business liner received a spacious and comfortable cabin, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable accommodation of 8-9 passengers.
The Falcon 50 is the predecessor and close relative of the family of large three-engine business jets made by France's Dassault Aviation. It became known as one of the business jets designed specifically for transatlantic flights. To achieve this, the aircraft used an unusual design with a supercritical wing and three jet engines.
The Falcon 50EX, a modification of the base model, made its first flight on April 10, 1996, and a year later the first production sample was delivered to the customer. The biggest change was to equip the aircraft with a newer Garrett TFE731-40 engine. Although thrust has remained virtually unchanged, thanks to the increased operating temperature at the turbine inlet, the new engine gives a significant increase in speed at high altitude. Together with the use of the electronic engine mode control system (FADEC), fuel efficiency increased by about 7%. In addition, the engine less often requires maintenance.
The 50EX also received an upgraded cockpit with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 avionics and CRT-EFIS displays.
